Jack Grealish purrs at ‘unbelievable’ Lionel Messi and hails Kylian Mbappe, but England star believes Brazil are the team to beat at the World Cup

Jack Grealish is loving what he’s seen from Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe at the World Cup, but believes Brazil are the most likely to achieve glory in Qatar.

The England star sat down with talkSPORT ahead of the Three Lions’ final group match, which sees them take on Wales on Tuesday night.

England are all-but through to the last 16 with a defeat of four goals or more the only way they could fall out of the top two spots in Group B.

Gareth Southgate’s men are one of the favourites to win the tournament, however, Grealish believes the five-time world champions are the team to beat.

The Manchester City star added how impressed he’s been with Lionel Messi, who scored a key goal in Argentina’s 2-0 win over Mexico, as well as Kylian Mbappe, who’s netted in both of France’s group matches.

“I watch all the games to be honest,” Grealish said. We have screens all over the place and it’s just nice to have games on all day.

“I’ve watched Messi, unbelievable. He just showed what he’s about in that second half but then again so did Mbappe.

“I think there are lots of brilliant teams, some teams have that one player who’s just unstoppable but I think Brazil are one of the most impressive I’ve seen so far. They have so much talent, especially in those attacking areas.

“I think they are, if you’re asking me who the biggest threat is, I’d probably say Brazil.”
