Portal Fantasy Rolls Out Closed Beta on Polygon

  • Portal Fantasy is launching its closed beta on Polygon.
  • Players have to complete challenges to access the game.

The Portal Fantasy team is hard at work and on schedule with its roadmap for 2023. After successfully launching its highly-anticipated closed beta on Avalanche, the game seeks to take its adventures into a new dimension.

The free-to-play pixel adventure game is ready to portal out its closed beta onto Polygon. However, there’s a catch: only players who complete the challenges can play the game.

Portal to Polygon

As promised in its 2023 roadmap, Portal Fantasy is taking its closed beta adventures to Polygon on March 13th, 2023. The game studio revealed that it is committed to creating an exciting game for everyone, so it’s expanding its reach onto multiple blockchains.

Portal Fantasy’s Polygon launch closely follows the opening of the closed beta on Avalanche. The developers deployed the closed beta to Avalanche on March 9th, 2023, citing the blockchain’s extensive range of tools and growing ecosystem of gamers. The developers have chosen Polygon for the next phase of the RPG’s closed beta launch for similar reasons.

The developers aim to use Polygon’s low-cost instant transactions, scalable security, and expanding community. The studio has shared that it is excited to join Polygon’s ecosystem and believes the launch will propel it to the next milestone in the roadmap: The Beta Pass

What’s Next?

According to Portal Fantasy’s 2023 roadmap, it has completed the first phase and is close to completing the second. In the first phase, the game successfully concluded its fundraising campaign, deployed its mini-game, and launched its official website.

In the second phase, Portal Fantasy has worked to roll out its closed beta on Polygon and Avalanche. It is currently running Community Beta Pass challenges to give players exclusive access to the game.

Portal Fantasy has shared that it will airdrop Beta Passes to Avalanche and Polygon users on March 24th and April 10th, 2023, respectively.

The Beta Pass airdrop would mark the end of the second phase, moving Portal Fantasy closer to launching the PFT token. In addition, the third phase will include the full game launch on Avalanche and Polygon and a Portal Fantasy marketplace for its in-game items.

On the Flipside

  • According to a Dappradar report, unique active wallets on Polygon saw a 35% decrease in February 2023 to 90,139 wallets.
