Messi has been linked with Barcelona and David Beckham’s Inter Miami – but now it’s reported there’s a plot to achieve the richest deal in football history to lure the Argentina icon to the Middle East.

Cristiano Ronaldo signed a contract worth £177m-a-year to sign for Al Nassr in December – and now Marca reports Messi would be paid even more to join his famous rival.

It is understood Al Nassr’s Riyadh rivals Al Hilal would be the 35-year-old’s most likely destination.

Ronaldo’s shock move has brought unprecedented levels of attention to the Saudi Pro League and other stars are expected to follow.

The Portugal sensation has scored eight goals in eight matches since leaving Manchester United for Al Nassr.

Meanwhile, Messi’s dad Jorge was recently spotted in Saudi Arabia amid speculation over his son’s future.
