April 13, 2023
We’ve planned a half-day of learning, guidance, and inspiration—all virtual.
First, leadership development coach Muriel Wilkins will talk us through how to communicate effectively when you’re running on empty. Amy Bernstein will then ask business leaders about how they pushed forward policies and programs that made their companies better for women. Next, Amy Gallo will interview several researchers about the practical takeaways from their latest findings. We’ll end with an advice hour, where both Amys will answer your questions. Do you need guidance on leading a team, dealing with conflict, negotiating, or something else? Email your question ahead of time to [email protected], and they’ll try to help.
Tickets are $60 for Harvard Business Review subscribers and $75 for everyone else. A ticket will also give you access to a replay of the event recording. Register here.
Interested in buying a bunch of tickets for your team, department, or entire company? Email [email protected] to learn about group discounts.
See you there!
AMY BERNSTEIN: Hello, everyone. We’re here with the special announcement. We are hosting a live event on April 27.
AMY GALLO: It’s a half day, and we’ve got four sessions planned. The first one is gonna be about communicating effectively when you’re running on empty. And we’re bringing in fellow podcast host and friend of Women at Work Muriel Wilkins to share practical tips and advice. We also have a session where we learn from women who are making work better for other women in their workplace. We’ll find out what it takes to push forward a new initiative or an innovative policy. We’re going to dive into the latest gender research and what it means for you and your career. And then we’re gonna end with a session we’re calling Ask the Amys where Amy B and I will answer your questions about anything from negotiations to careers to managing others. For that one, you can email questions to [email protected]. We’ll answer questions live, but we’re gonna also take a few that have been submitted ahead of time.
AMY BERNSTEIN: It’s all virtual, so you can tune in from anywhere. In that half day, you’re gonna gain so much wisdom about how to navigate your career and your life.
AMY GALLO: So, for a detailed agenda, information about the fabulous speakers, and to purchase your tickets, go to hbr.org/wawlive. If you can’t make it live, tickets also grant you access to the recordings afterward. And HBR subscribers get 20% off the ticket price.
AMY BERNSTEIN: And stay tuned to the feed. We’ve got a lot more exciting projects to share with you in the coming months. We’ll see you on April 27, 2023. And again, tickets are at hbr.org/wawlive. See you soon.
AMY GALLO: Bye!
