FedEx Cup Fall to end the year of the PGA

The American circuit of the PGA Tour has just announced its new end-of-season calendar, with seven events of the new FedEx Cup Fall on the program… before the start of the 2024 season as planned in January.

FedEx Cup Fall, schedule

Announced as the biggest revolution on the PGA Tour calendar since the creation of the FedEx Cup in 2007, the FedEx Cup Fall will begin on the heels of the FedEx Cup playoffs which will end with the Tour Championship (August 24-27).

. The Fortinet Championship (September 14-17) will launch the new formula of seven events intended to spice up the end of 2023. After a two-week break around the Ryder Cup, the Sanderson Farms Championship, the Shriners Children’s Open and the Zozo Championship will liven up the month of October.

The circuit will then make an exotic stop on a course designed in Mexico by Tiger Woods with the WWT Championship, before the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, then the RSM Classic which will end this seven-tournament marathon on Sunday 19 November.

These seven events will be an opportunity for some players to retain or improve their playing rights for the 2024 season, which will begin in January in Hawaii. As a reminder, the top 10 of the Race to Dubai will also offer a category on the PGA Tour in 2024.

And Victor Perez is third after the first Major of the season! After these seven tournaments with a cumulative prize pool of $56.6 million, three final events will put an end to the year 2023 of the American circuit. In addition to the traditional Hero World Challenge and PNC Championship dear to Tiger Woods, the Grant Thornton Invitational makes its appearance in the calendar at the beginning of December.

It will then be time to gather strength to attack the Sentry Tournament of Champions, the first tournament of the FedEx Cup 2024, the precise date of which has not yet been announced.
