The next incarnation of the Doctor is here – and he’s landed in the swinging ’60s.
Ncuti Gatwa follows as the fifteenth Doctor in the BBC’s Doctor Who. Gatwa, of Sex Education fame, told Mashable that it felt “really powerful” to take on the role.

The first pictures reveal the Doctor and companion Ruby Sunday, played by Millie Gibson, clad in iconic, era-appropriate outfits.
Doctor Who will return in November 2023, with three special episodes featuring Tenth Doctor David Tennant to celebrate the show’s 60th anniversary. Gatwa’s debut will follow.
