LPGA Tour pro Julieta Granada confirms retirement at age 37! She sent a long message on Instagram and recalled the first days of her career. Even as a girl, she aspired to be the best, work hard, and follow her dreams. Granada succeeded in that and is happy that she had the opportunity to be part of the golf world for so many years.

“Thank you Golf! It’s been quite a ride to play this amazing game for a living. It all started as an 4 year old winning my first event. I was hooked from then on, hooked with the personal challenge, to getting better, to making my weakness my strengths, to pushing myself to see what else I could achieve, def hooked with proving people wrong about what I could do, with winning on every level.

So many coaches that were involved in my career, these coaches were key at every stage of my career as a player, I want to thank them all

. “- Granada wrote on Instagram.

Julieta Granada’s message

Being a part of the golf scene for 16 years and reaching the top is amazing.

Granada credits her success to the great support she received from day one of her career. Reflecting on numerous career moments and achievements, Julieta acknowledged the imperfections and doubts that arose. Despite these challenges, she persevered, believed in herself, and built an impressive career.

Granada expressed her current priority: to be the best mother she can be.

“Playing on the @lpga_tour for 16 years has been great! So I want to thank everyone involved with the tour, the tournaments, sponsors, volunteers, fans and of course the players.
I take the next step in my career proud of my achievements and satisfied because I left it all on the golf course, and during training.

I recognized I’m not the best athlete but my hard work, determination, discipline, hunger to get better got me to accomplishing things I never dreamt on. Number one junior, amateur and winning an LPGA event, flag beaver for my country at the Rio Olympics, and representing Paraguay everywhere I went are the highlights, don’t be fooled every accomplishment was with a lot of sacrifices and with a lot of hard work and they are a lot of bad days were I had doubt.

And of course I want to thank my mom who pushed me to get better everyday!
What’s next? Well being the best mom.”
