The PGA Tour ranking formula remains unchanged, but the news concerns the company that will support the US Tour the most.

Open de France, schedule

In a statement released on Monday, the DP World Tour announced that FedEx will be the title sponsor of the 2024 edition of the Open de France.

The 106th edition of this prestigious national open tournament is scheduled for this year. It is the oldest open tournament on the old continent, established in 1906, nineteen years before our Open. Keith Pelley, outgoing CEO of the European Tour, commented on the new sponsorship, saying: “We are thrilled to welcome FedEx to the global platform of the DP World Tour, where they will be able to expand the golf-oriented marketing program that has already been successful in United States with the PGA Tour.” “This agreement is another testament to how the Strategic Alliance with the PGA Tour continues to enhance the DP World Tour and its members, offering new commercial opportunities with prestige brands,” added Pelley.

Jay Monahan, Commissioner of the PGA Tour, also wanted to comment on the new sponsorship of the Open de France, won in 2022 by Guido Migliozzi: “Today’s announcement is another example of the collaboration between PGA Tour and DP World Tour, which benefits the world of men’s professional golf.” “As a sponsor of the PGA Tour since 1986 and a title sponsor of FedEx since 2007, FedEx has played an integral role in the evolution and growth of the PGA Tour, benefiting players, tournaments and fans,” Monahan noted .

The Open de France is scheduled for next October 10th to 13th on the Le Golf National course. France, officially the French Republic, is a country located in Western and Southern Europe, with territories spread across multiple oceans and other continents.

It is a unitary constitutional republic, with a semi-presidential regime. Its capital is Paris and the official language is French. The official currencies are the euro and the CFP franc in the Pacific Ocean territories. The national motto is “Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité”, and the flag is composed of three equal-sized vertical bands of blue, white and red.

The national anthem is La Marseillaise. The history of France has its roots in the Early Middle Ages, taking its name from the Germanic people of the Franks. From the 17th century until the first half of the 20th century, France possessed a vast colonial empire.

Subsequently, it became one of the founding states of the European Union. It is the world’s third largest nuclear power, a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council and NATO. Furthermore, it is part of the G7, G20, the Eurozone, the Schengen area and hosts the headquarters of the Council of Europe, the European Parliament and UNESCO.

France exerts significant influence in politics, economics, military and culture in Europe and around the world, being considered a middle power.
