Rafael Nadal invests in Playtomic, leading app for booking tennis and padel courts

Rafael Nadal is training hard to give himself the chance to play on his beloved clay-courts. The Spanish tennis legend decided to skip the Monte Carlo Rolex Masters due to an abdominal problem that has been plaguing him since the Australian Open.

“I don’t rule out anything, neither being in Barcelona next week, nor being in Madrid. I couldn’t be in Monte Carlo because I’ve had an abdominal problem for two months, since I came back from Australia. I recovered quickly from the injury in Australia, then, one day, while training, I started having abdominal discomfort. We are trying very carefully,” explained Rafa in an interview with Movistar+.

While waiting to come back on court, in what could be his last year of competition, Nadal, the best Spanish sportsman of all time and one of the greatest sportsmen in history, is securing a future even beyond tennis, participating in successful companies.

In fact, Rafa announced a partnership with Playtomic, the buggest sports racket community in the world and the leading app for booking padel and tennis courts, with the largest gaming community in the world.

Rafa Nadal said about this new partnership: “I am very happy with this opportunity that Playtomic offers me because it manages in a social way to unite a community interested in padel and tennis and makes this sport accessible to all types of people, regardless of their level of physical fitness or play I believe that bringing sport closer to everyone always has a positive impact on society.”

Félix Ruiz, co-founder and CEO of Playtomic, told: “Personally, I’m happy to see a legend of sport like Rafa Nadal join Playtomic. It will be a great boost to help us publicize the our technology platform and support the growth of racket sports around the world.”
