Microsoft’s online store is the best place to find the more expensive and more powerful Xbox Series X console during Black Friday, while discounts on controllers and games can be found at stores like GameStop, Best Buy, and Amazon.

When is Black Friday?
Black Friday is November 25, the day after Thanksgiving. Stores will continue to offer different deals through Cyber Monday, November 28.
Will the newest Xbox consoles be available on Black Friday?
The $500 Xbox Series X has been consistently available through the Microsoft Store during Black Friday, while most other retailers have sold out of their stock. Amazon lets shoppers sign up to buy the Xbox Series X by invite, while other retailers like Walmart, Target, and Best Buy restock regularly online.
The less powerful Xbox Series S has been discounted by $50 for the holiday shopping weekend, dropping the price to $250 at most major stores. GameStop is also selling used Xbox Series S consoles for $230.
What’s the difference between the Xbox consoles?
Microsoft designed the current Xbox consoles with different price points and performance in mind.
The $500 Xbox Series X has more storage space and better performance, while the Series S is less powerful and has no disc drive, meaning you’ll need to commit to buying digital games or using subscriptions like Xbox Game Pass.
That said, the Series S is still an excellent device for shoppers who want a more affordable console and it’s an upgrade over the Xbox One family of consoles.
