‘Hit and don’t get hit’ – Chris Eubank Jr looking sharp ahead of Liam Smith clash as he spars heavyweight and lands huge uppercut

In Chris Eubank Jr’s latest stunt, he has decided to spar a heavyweight ahead of his upcoming fight with fellow Brit Liam Smith.

Eubank Jr has never been one to shy away from pre-fight antics, such as eating KFC, cakes and burgers when he was supposed to be losing weight for his scheduled bout with Conor Benn.

Eubank Jr took his trolling so far ahead of his scheduled fight with Benn that he actually became sponsored by KFC
Lawrence Lustig/Boxxer
But this time, he’s staying away from the fried chicken and instead testing himself against a heavyweight

This time, however, Eubank Jr’s latest social media post involved a little more jeopardy, as he decided to share the ring with a man much bigger than himself.

With that being said, Eubank Jr actually appeared to be the one to come off best, as he landed a heavy left hook, then slipped two potential knockout blows, before finding the target with a huge uppercut.

This was probably posted as a warning to Smith to watch out for that exact shot when the pair meet on January 21 at the Manchester Arena.

Smith has previously been in with fighters who have achieved far more in the sport of boxing than Eubank Jr.

In 2016, Smith travelled to America to take on the current undisputed super middleweight world champion, Canelo, who knocked him out in the ninth round.

Although, Eubank Jr is confident he can look even more impressive than any of Smith’s previous opponents, as he said: “Has he been in there with some good fighters? Yes. Are they on my level? No.

While this fight may not be as big as Eubank Jr vs Benn, it should still entice the public

“He’s a competent fighter, but class beats competence every day of the week.

“It’s a good opportunity for me to show I’m twice the fighter that he is as well as those he has faced.”

Despite Eubank Jr’s confidence, Smith believes it is misplaced, as he said: “He’s making a big mistake fighting me.

“Every time he has stepped up to elite level, he has failed. I am elite and he will fall again on January 21st in Manchester.”
