Vanderbilt University men’s team got a 4-1 defeat against LSU


The Vanderbilt University men’s tennis team closed the regular season finale by a defeat of 4-1 against LSU in Baton Rouge, on Sunday. Now, the Dores will travel to Auburn next week for the Southeastern Conference tournament.

LSU picked up an early advantage with doubles wins on Courts 1 and 2. The Tigers’ momentum didn’t falter in singles play; LSU won straight sets on Courts 1 and 4 to give them a 3-0 lead over the Dores. Commodore Joubert Klopper picked up the only point for the Dores with straight-set victories on Court 2.

The Tigers then clinched the match, claiming the contest on Court 5.
