Alex Noren’s great week continues in the 2023 Bermuda Championship. The Swede, after yesterday’s resounding 61 which also marked his best daily performance, today scores a solid 66 and in the middle of the week looks down on everyone with his – 15.

The 41-year-old European is very hungry both to break his five-year streak of victories and to find his first success on the PGA Tour after having excelled on 10 occasions on the Old Continent circuit.

Alex Noren, results

Noren is chased two shots behind by a trio of Ryan Moore, Satoshi Kodaira and Ryan Brehm.

For the American Moore a very profitable Friday with him scoring 7 birdies and not even a bogey for a -7 which brings his total for the tournament to -13. The Japanese Kodaira and the American Breham both posted a remarkable 65 in this second round, also helped by the perfect conditions in which the players took to the field on the magnificent par 71 of the Port Royal Golf Course.

Fifth position alone for Camilo Villegas with a total after two rounds of -12 to underline an exceptional state of form which saw the Colombian in the running until the last two holes to win the World Wide Technology Championship last week.

In sixth position paired at -11 we find a group of golfers: Brendon Todd, Doc Redman, D.A. Points, Stewart Cink, Akshay Bahatia and the only non-American but German Matti Schmid. Really short ranking with 24 golfers within four shots, from -13 of the trio in second position to -9 of a large group with golfers still fully in the game.

Adam Scott is also still in full swing for the tournament, in twelfth position tied with a total of -10 and a Friday closed in 67. The Australian, together with Lucas Glover (39th at -7), are the only two golfers in the field this week in the top-50 of the world rankings.

Second round which was interrupted when three matches still had to complete the eighteen holes, with the cut which in any case should not vary from the current -5. We return to the field tomorrow in a spectacular landscape for a moving day that promises entertainment.
