The Open for Disabled Individuals, supported by the Marche Region, was claimed by Tommaso Perrino. At the Conero Golf Club (par 71) in Sirolo, the Livornese golfer secured victory for the fourth time in his career in the tournament, finishing with a score of 143 (70 73, +1).
He surpassed Cameroonian golfer Issa A Amang Nlareb by two strokes in the “even strokeplay” leaderboard, with Nlareb finishing second with 145 (73 72, +3), ahead of another Italian, Nicola Maestroni, who came third with 146 (+4).

Following his victories in 2019, 2021, and 2022, Perrino clinched his fourth title in the competition, which reached its 24th edition this year. After finishing second in 2023, the reigning European individual champion in the EDGA international event reclaimed his Italian champion status.
It was a successful outing for the head coach of the national Paralympic golf team under the Federgolf umbrella. With 48 participants showcasing fair play, camaraderie, and stories of resilience, the event highlighted golf’s continued commitment to inclusivity.
The stage is set for 2025, when the Open for Disabled Individuals will once again take center stage, followed by another edition in the Marche region in 2026. The rules of golf comprise a set of standard norms and procedures governing the game of golf.
They are collectively authored and managed by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, the governing body for golf worldwide, excluding the United States and Mexico, which fall under the jurisdiction of the United States Golf Association.
A panel of experts, consisting of members from both the R&A and USGA, oversees and refines the rules every four years. The latest revision has been in effect since January 1, 2016. Changes to the rules of golf generally fall into two main categories: those that enhance understanding and those that, in certain cases, reduce penalties to ensure fairness.
The rulebook, titled “Rules of Golf,” is regularly published and also includes regulations governing amateur status. In Italy, it is the responsibility of Federgolf to oversee competitions, enforce the rules issued by the R&A, ensure compliance with these rules by clubs, associations, and their members, and administer the resulting sports justice, safeguarding their interests abroad.
