Chelsea moved swiftly to recruit Mudryk

The Gunners identified the young winger as their top target, but they couldn’t agree a fee with Shakhtar Donetsk and Chelsea made their move.

He is the Blues’ fifth signing this month and should provide Graham Potter with even more attacking options.

But one of Mudryk’s standout features are his unique tattoos.

What do Mudryk’s tattoos mean?

Mudryk has several tattoos scattered around his body and a lot of them are deeply connected to religion.

One of the main pieces of ink that stands out is the one on Mudryk’s neck.

It reads ‘Only Jesus’, with an infinity sign placed just above.

The 22-year-old’s main pieces are engraved into his body and a few of them appear to have religious connections as well.

The one on the right side of his body is another linked to Christianity and is a passage containing a letter to God.

It reads: “Dear God, if today I lose my hope, remind me that your plans are better than my dreams.”

And on the other side of his chest, there is a heart and football inked.

This tattoo is self-explanatory and it’s clearly directly linked to Mudryk’s love of football.

There are also two tattoos on the back of his left and right arm.

The Ukrainian international also has several pieces inked on his hands and all have clear connections to Mudryk’s faith.

He has a cross tattooed on his left thumb and then the letters ‘F’ and ‘E’ inscribed on the inside of his right and left palm.

When you put these two together in the form of a prayer, it creates the Portuguese word for ‘faith’.

And on one of his right fingers, the words ‘Thank you God’ are written.

And the forward also has the word ‘Again’ inscribed six times on his right leg, which likely serves as inspiration for Mudryk to keep getting better and better.

Clearly, faith and religion play a big part in Mudryk’s life and he has expressed that faith in the form of some unique tattoos.

The new Chelsea man is a fascinating character and has a huge price tag on his shoulders, so it will be intriguing to see how he fares at Stamford Bridge.
