Blues held to goalless draw by Cottagers who move into top six while Fernandez ‘absolutely magnificent’ on debut but Mudryk substituted at half time

Chelsea were held to a goalless draw by Fulham at Stamford Bridge with the Cottagers moving into the top six.

The Premier League’s new most expensive player Enzo Fernandez made his Blues debut but couldn’t help his team find the net.

And neither could Mykhailo Mudryk who was handed his first start before being subbed at half time by Graham Potter.

Chelsea came closest to scoring after Kai Havertz hit the post in the first half before subsitute David Fofana had a shot cleared off the line by Tim Ream.

While Aleksandar Mitrovic’s audadcious effort from distance had Kepa scrambling in what was one of Fulham’s best chances.

But Marco Silva will be the much happier of the two managers as the point sees them rise into the Premier League’s top six.
