Three tournaments before the end of the season on the LET, the best players in the world met in the desert in Riyadh, the Sadoudian capital for the last stage of the Aramco Team Series. Alison Lee got the best start at -11 (61), two strokes ahead of Australian MinJee Lee.

6 French women are engaged this week.

The Aramco Team Series is back this week on the Ladies European Tour (LET) for the last of five tournaments contested according to a very particular playing principle.

Teams of three professional players are formed with one amateur, and the two best scores of the four are kept (net for the amateur) on each hole. The teams will only play two rounds on Friday and Saturday. The final day will see the 60 best individual players continue the adventure in the third round with valuable points at stake at the end of the season for the Race to Costa Del Sol.

The LET dynamiter still works as well, thanks for that. These famous boosted events on the women’s European tour always attract so many world stars. In addition to world number 1 and double major winner this season Lilia Vu, Australian MinJee Lee, the latest winner on the LPGA circuit, also led her team on this first day with her charisma and talent on the Saudi fairways.

Her 63 (-9) with 10 birdies for a single miss gives her second place, two small steps behind the one who lost to her in the playoff last week, the American Alison Lee. The Californian arrived with revenge this week in Saudi Arabia, and immediately set fire to the Riyadh Golf Club with an impressive 61 (-11).

Here she is alone in the lead with two points in advance, a formula which suited her perfectly for her only career title at the Aramco Team Series in Sotogrande in 2021. Shining individually does not guarantee the success of your team.

The players led by the individual leader are only eighth in a team ranking dominated by the players of the Spaniard Carlota Ciganda and Bronte Law in -21 total. Also team captain, and winner during one of the Aramco Team Series events in Florida, Paul Roussin begins his tournament with a card of 72 (PAR) with an eagle, two birdies for four bogeys.

Here she is 62nd alongside Agathe Sauzon, one point ahead of Céline Herbin (73rd). A little higher in the ranking, Anne Charlotte Mora and Emma Grechi share 42nd position after an opening 70 (-2). The best French player in this event in the Gulf after the first day is Nastasia Nadaud (18 years old) with an immaculate 67 (-5) finished with two birdies in a row. The Savoyard is 15th.
