Baylor senior Adam Flagler on Monday announced that he will forgo his final year of eligibility and declare for the 2023 NBA draft, wrapping up a productive career with the Bears.
Flagler was a unanimous All-Big 12 first-team selection after averaging 15.6 points, 4.6 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 1.2 steals on 40% shooting from 3-point range. He finished second in the conference in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.7) and 3-point percentage.
He arrived at Baylor during the 2020-21 season and helped lead the team to the national title after transferring from Presbyterian. He finishes 23rd on the career scoring list at Baylor after three seasons (1,181), ninth in 3-pointers (201) and second in 3-point percentage (40.2).
Flagler is highly touted for his ability as a shooter. He is regarded as one of the top shooters in the draft this year and can spot up from virtually all over the court. He has great fluidity with his shot and projects to be a great fit at the next level.
He isn’t currently projected to be drafted, but will likely have the opportunity to showcase himself in front of teams and scouts next month at the combine in Chicago, Illinois.
The early entry deadline for the draft is April 23.
