Andy Murray says the level that Novak Djokovic has been able to consistently deliver at this stage of his career is unmatched. Djokovic, who turned 36 in May, made all four Grand Slam finals this year and won three Slam titles.
Roger Federer, 42, won his last Grand Slam title at the 2018 Australian Open. Nadal, 37, captured back-to-back Grand Slam titles at last year’s Australian Open and French Open. “The motivation & energy to keep winning & keep performing at that level is brilliant.
Of all of them, Roger, Rafa, they have all had long careers, but certainly none of them, I think, have played at the level that Novak is at in this phase of their careers in a consistent way,” Murray said, via The Tennis Letter.

Murray hopes for a positive week in Zhuhai
At the start of the year, Murray made the Australian Open third round and also finished as runner-up in Doha.
After a positive start to the year, Murray was hoping to win some titles and also make a deep Grand Slam or a Masters run. Unfortunately for Murray, that hasn’t happened. After skipping the French Open, Murray suffered back-to-back Grand Slam second-round losses at Wimbledon and the US Open.
Murray won three Challenger titles earlier this year but on the main level he is just 15-12 in 2023. When it comes to the rankings, Murray returned to the top-50 and he is now ranked at No 41. “Look, I would like the year to have gone better, for sure.
There have been some good moments, but also some tough losses as well. It’s been up and down. I got up to my highest ranking a few weeks ago since I had the hip operation so that’s positive and shows that although it’s not as fast a trajectory as I would have liked, I’m still going in the right direction,” Murray said.
