“The body is old but I still like it, and I still like training and traveling. Now it’s a little harder to stay away having a family, which is difficult. But I feel good enough to compete with the best players in the world and I will continue to play until I feel like I can’t anymore,” said the Scot Andy Murray.

After training at the Queensland Tennis Center on Thursday, the 3 time Slam champion talked about how injuries and physical problems don’t stop him from feeling good when he takes to the court. The world number 42 arrived Down Under ahead of the inaugural Grand Slam in 2024 and attended the Brisbane International to prepare for the major in Melbourne.

Murray then expressed what he felt during his final season of playing.

“It’s probably the most positive part of the year for me, that I’ve been able to compete for most weeks. I had a little injury around the US Open, but other than that it went very well. As long as I’m healthy, it’s a lot more enjoyable to get on the field.

When you have a lot of injuries, rehabilitation is much more difficult than when I was young. So I hope I can stay in shape,” concluded the three-time Slam champion. A new tennis season has just begun and Murray still wants to amaze.

The 36-year-old Briton is preparing to do his best at the 2024 Australian Open, the first Slam of the year, a major in which the former world number one has never managed to triumph despite playing five finals.Murray will try to improve on the result obtained last year in the Australian Slam, in which he reached the third round, eliminated by Roberto Bautista Agut.
