Ben White will not travel with the Arsenal squad to their Dubai training camp after leaving England’s World Cup camp for ‘personal reasons’.

White returned home from Qatar on November 30, the day after England sealed their place in the knockout stage with a 3-0 win over Wales.

White left England early and won’t travel for Arsenal’s training camp

It has now been reported that he won’t be travelling with the Gunners for a training camp and friendly matches against Lyon and AC Milan in the Middle East.

A statement from the Football Association earlier this week read: “Ben White has left England’s training base in Al Wakrah and returned home for personal reasons.

“The Arsenal defender is not expected to return to the squad for the remainder of the tournament.

“We ask that the player’s privacy is respected at this moment in time.”

Arsenal followed up the story with a post on their website which read: “We’re all with you, Ben.”

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta and his team are heading to the UAE for warm-weather training before the European club season resumes with the north London side top of the Premier League.

A squad of around 26 players are expected to travel to Dubai, including 12 youth team prospects.

It is unclear whether White will link-up with his teammates later on in the training camp.
