  • American Express cards come with targeted bonus rewards or discounts through a program called Amex Offers**.
  • To earn cash back or bonus points, add the offer to your card and make a qualifying purchase.
  • Eligibility for these offers is limited. Enrollment is required in the Amex Offers section of your account before redeeming.
  • Read Insider’s guide to the best rewards credit cards.

Saving money or earning bonus points, miles, or cash back by using one of the best credit cards always feels good, and it’s even more satisfying when it’s on a purchase you’d have to make anyway. Amex is an Insider advertiser.

I love The Platinum Card® from American Express
for valuable perks like airport lounge access and statement credits for things like digital subscriptions**, CLEAR Plus**, Equinox**, Walmart+ membership**, and prepaid hotels through Amex Fine Hotels and Resorts and The Hotel Collection**.

One of those benefits, available with virtually every American Express card but not the most widely known, is Amex Offers. In the past few years, I’ve used offers to save money on purchases at Hilton hotels, Instacart, and Boxed. And I’ve earned bonus points or cash back numerous times with Amazon Amex Offers, which come around every so often.

The latest Amex Offers include discounts and bonus rewards at popular online stores and on retailers, hotels, travel, and gifts. Check your accounts, because there are many more new Amex Offers available.

We’re focused here on the rewards and perks that come with each card. These cards won’t be worth it if you’re paying interest or late fees. When using a credit card, it’s important to pay your balance in full each month, make payments on time, and only spend what you can afford to pay.

What Are Amex Offers?

The Amex Offers program provides cardholders with discounts at various stores, restaurants, and services, or, if not a discount, then chances to earn extra points.

The interesting part of the program is that each offer is specifically targeted to individual cardholders and specific cards. That means that you and I might get different offers, and you might even see different offers across several different Amex cards. That adds a real benefit to having multiple Amex cards — even if you just use them to be eligible for more offers, you have a better chance of getting good ones.

One of the appeals of the Amex Offers program is that the offers continuously change. Offers can be for national brands, but are also targeted based on your billing address — for example, Amex often includes Shop Small offers at small businesses close to your location.

You might also find seasonal offers popping up occasionally. For example, close to Mother’s Day, there are often Amex Offers to save on flowers and gifts. And around Black Friday and the holidays, it’s not unusual to see more offers geared toward online shopping and entertaining.

Current Amex Offers

Here are some of the best Amex Offers currently available. Keep in mind that each has an expiration date, and some are specifically targeted.

Be sure to double-check restrictions, too — some Amex Offers only work for online purchases, or in the US.

In the Amex app, just click the “Offers” button at the bottom, and follow the same steps.

It’s important to note that many offers have expiration dates, so be sure to keep an eye on them to make sure that you use them in time. Also remember that while you’ll get different Amex Offers on each card, there will also be some overlap.

Amex Offers Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

All personal and small-business American Express cards issued in the US are eligible for Amex Offers, including third-party issued cards (such as American Express-branded cards issued by other banks). Registered Serve and Bluebird cards qualify as well.

American Express corporate cards, gift cards, and prepaid cards are not eligible.

Yes, authorized users can access Amex Offers through their accounts and add them to their cards.

By default, Amex will show you up to 100 available Amex Offers per card. But when you add offers to your card, new ones will often (not always) appear up to a maximum of 100 showing per account.

There’s no limit to the number of available offers you can add to your account.

Yes, the Amex Offer will trigger based on the total amount charged to your card at the qualifying merchant, including tax.

New Amex Offers are added to accounts nearly all the time, but there’s no schedule or regular frequency.

Amex doesn’t reveal how it targets cardholders for specific offers — and there’s no way to “force” Amex to target you for an offer. Adding offers to your card will usually make new ones appear, so you might get lucky.
