Here’s the best of Italian youth golf. In Graniteville, South Carolina, Giovanni Binaghi staged a comeback victory, totaling 205 (74 67 64, -11) strokes at the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley, one of the most prestigious junior tournaments in the world.
Nineteenth after the first round, 6th after the second, with a final bogey-free round of 64 (-8) strokes, backed by eight birdies, the Italian surpassed competition from Louis Klein, 2nd with 207 (-9), and Joshua Bai, 3rd with 208 (-8).

The success allowed the 17-year-old Milanese to don the “golden jacket,” the symbol of the competition. This year marks the 13th edition, previously won by champions such as American Scottie Scheffler (now world No.
1 and victorious in this event in 2014) and Chilean Joaquin Niemann (2017), this year dominating in the LIV Golf, the Arab Super League. “I am honored to join this circle of winners; it’s a victory that gives me the right boost and confidence to face the next challenges,” expressed Binaghi’s satisfaction.
