Brooks Koepka And Dustin Johnson On Playing At The Ryder Cup

We can expect the Ryder Cup to start in just about 5 months from now. In terms of what will happen in this competition, and who will be part of it, there are still many unknowns. Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka talked about the challenges of playing the Ryder Cup in an interview with the Sydney Morning Herald.

Both have expressed their desire to compete there, and the question is whether it will actually happen. “I would love to, absolutely. It’s something I’ve always enjoyed playing and in the last Ryder Cup I played pretty well.

It’s one of my favourite events to play in. I’d love to. If I play well for the rest of the year, hopefully I’ll get a consideration”. – Johnson said, as quoted by golfmonthly.com Koepka is aware that he cannot influence such a decision much at the moment, but he is ready to accept the invitation.

“It’s not up to me so I can’t make that decision, but if they choose us, we’ll be ready to go.”

Zach Johnson

Captain Zach Johnson of Team USA gave the LIV Golfers a sense of optimism that many of them would be able to compete on the world stage.

Furthermore, he was also able to reveal the reason behind that. “No decisions have been made. There’s still a lot of time left in that regard, and so many fluid factors involved. Not to get overly in the weeds of all this, but in order to garner Ryder Cup points or be eligible for PGA of America Ryder Cup points and PGA Championship points, you have to be a member of PGA of America.

Those individuals that have left the Pga Tour, to my knowledge, are still members of PGA of America. There’s a grace period involved there. I don’t know the specifics. ”- Johnson said.
