The new season of the DP World Tour has made a stop in Australia, with the advent of the most awaited event: the Australian Open, whose prize money is close to 1.7 million Australian dollars. Now in its 100th year, the Open was co-hosted by the European Tour, PGA Tour of Australasia and OneAsia Tour.

At the end of the first round, the young Cam Davis takes first place on the leaderboard, with a score of -9 (63 shots). His perfect performance, characterized by the lack of bogey, was enriched by an incredible eagle on the 14th hole.
In pursuit of the Australian talent are the American Patrick Rodgers and the local players Hayden Hopewell and Connor Syme, one and two respectively distance lengths. Fifth place is shared by four players, including Frenchman Alexander Levy and Scottish duo Gran Forrest and Sean Crocker.
The competitions took place on the par 72 courses of The Lakes Golf Club and The Australian Golf Club, located in Sydney (New South Wales, Australia). Closing the group of the top ten are the Irishman Mark Power, the Chilean Joaquin Niemann, the Japanese Yuto Katsuragawa, the American John Catlin, the Venezuelan Jhonattan Vegas and the local players Min Woo Lee and Zack Swanwick, the latter still an amateur, who he got his due recognition despite the bogey on the 18th hole.
Despite his promising debut at the Australian PGA Championship, Pietro Bovari found it difficult to maintain his performances. In a round to forget, the young Lombard struggled to make the Friday cut, finishing the first round on The Lakes Court with a score of +4.
His desperate comeback on the Italian night may not be enough to qualify for the second half of the tournament. Despite his disappointment, Bovari will continue to work hard to improve his future performances. The Rules of Golf are a set of standard rules and procedures by which the sport of golf should be played.
They are jointly written and administered by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, the governing body of golf throughout the world, outside of the United States and Mexico, which are the jurisdiction of the United States Golf Association. An expert commission made up of members of the R&A and USGA oversees and refines the rules every four years.
