Fresh Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz, who defeated Novak Djokovic in the final of the Grand Slam on Sunday, dropped the trophy after he was asked to show it on CNN This Morning. Watch the video of the moment below.

Alcaraz reacted to the moment with a big smile and with some laughing emojis on Twitter.

The clumsy moment probably happened because Alcaraz is still full of emotions after winning his maiden Wimbledon at only 20 years old.

After all, he’s living his dream.”It’s a dream come true, it’s nice to win. Even if I had lost, I would have been very proud of me same. For me it’s incredible to enter the history of this tournament against a great champion.

Playing on these stages is beautiful, I didn’t expect to go so fast to reach these kind of situations. I am proud of the daily work with my team and of having these magical experiences,” said Alcaraz after his victory.Alcaraz also congratulated Novak.

“I really have to congratulate Novak, you inspire me so much. I started playing tennis, watching you. When I was born, you were already winning tournaments! And you’re in better shape than me,” said Carlos.

Swiatek dropped the Roland Garros trophy

Just as Carlos Alcaraz, Iga Swiatek dropped a Grand Slam trophy a few weeks ago at Roland Garros.

“I honestly felt like I was holding it with my finger, so I guess all the emotions caused that. Sorry. I don’t mean to be disrespectful. I’m glad the trophy is fine and it won’t happen again – probably. I just hope I’m going have a chance to hold it again in future years,” Swiatek said during a press conference. You can watch the moment below.
