Chelsea co-owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali watch Chelsea stars get put through their paces in training

Chelsea co-owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali watched Graham Potter put his squad through their paces at their Cobham training ground.

It was a very busy transfer window for the Blues, who made EIGHT signings in January, spending over £300million in the process.

However, Boehly and Eghbali may have been a little disappointed if they were looking for record signing Enzo Fernandez, who was nowhere to be seen in the session.

Argentina midfielder Fernandez sealed his deadline day move to Chelsea in a £106.8million deal, a Premier League record.

Ukrainian forward Mykhailo Mudryk, who joined in an £88m deal, was in Potter’s session ahead of Chelsea’s Friday night showdown with Fulham, which is live and exclusive on talkSPORT.

Also in the training session was defender Wesley Fofana, who joined for £69.5m in the summer, as he continues his recovery from a knee injury.

Full-backs Reece James and Ben Chilwell, who are nursing injuries of their own, were also present as was veteran defender Thiago Silva and midfielder Mason Mount.

Potter has been given an abundance of new players backed by the financial muscle of the new owners but the Blues boss suggested that there will be a reduction in the level of spending in future transfer windows.

“I don’t think the spending will necessarily continue as it has,” said Potter.

“I think there was a regeneration that needed to happen which the club have done. I think we have to say that the next window and the window after will be different.

“I’m certainly not complaining about my position here, that’s for sure. I think you’ll find with football managers they can complain about pretty much anything at any point. At the moment I’m here, it’s a fantastic opportunity, I’m really excited for it.

“There will be challenges, of course there will. But I’m just going to approach it with my similar attitude, which is to do my best and to try to improve and to try and make this club, day by day, better.”
