Easy Cream Cheese Fruit Dip (4 Ways!)

Fruit dip has always been one of my favorite items to see out at a party.

The creamy, tangy texture of a cream cheese fruit dip (usually made fluffy and light by adding some marshmallow fluff or Cool Whip) goes so well with just about any kind of fruit. And it can be served at gatherings all year long.

These cream cheese fruit dips take only 5 minutes to make and you can create a vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, or caramel variation in no time (serve just one or a few flavors side by side!).

How do you store cream cheese fruit dip?

You can store cream cheese fruit dip in the refrigerator for up to a week as long as it’s in an airtight container. And you can place a layer of saran wrap across the top of the dip for extra freshness.

Can you make cream cheese fruit dip ahead of time?

Yes! If you want to save some time on the day of your event, you can easily make this dip the day before and keep it in an airtight container in the fridge until ready to serve.

Can you freeze cream cheese fruit dip?

Yes, you can freeze cream cheese fruit dip, but be aware that the texture will probably change and it will become grainier after being frozen.

What’s the best way to soften the cream cheese?

The simplest way to soften cream cheese is to leave it out on your counter for 30-60 minutes before mixing.

If you are in a hurry, you can still whip it up without softening, but you’ll get some small lumps in your dip. It won’t really affect the taste though (just the look), so don’t worry if you don’t have time.

What kind of fruit goes best with fruit dip?

Just about any fruit goes well with a fruit dip, but items like apples, grapes, strawberries, bananas, orange slices, pineapple, and kiwi are probably our favorites.

You can also customize it to a theme, like pairing the chocolate fruit dip with strawberries for a Valentine’s Day party or using red, white, and blue fruits with the vanilla fruit dip for the Fourth of July.

You could even use different kinds of apples with the caramel fruit dip for a fun fall treat.

Can you dip anything besides fruit?

Absolutely! Items like pretzels, graham crackers, slices of pound cake, and vanilla wafers are also great choices to add to your fruit plate.
