Elena Rybakina shared some photos of her on her Instagram profile where she can be seen walking the streets of New York. The beautiful and very strong Kazakh tennis player explained to her fans and followers that she will play at the US Open 2023.There were some doubts about her presence at Flushing Meadows, due to recent physical problems that have limited her performances at Wimbledon, Montreal and Cincinnati, but the photos shared by Elena on social media of her leave her calmer fans“Excited to be back in New York,” she wrote in the post.

In this precise image, the Kazakh champion had just arrived at the restaurant of the New York hotel The Pierre, A Taj Hotel. In the next photo, Elena, in a green outfit, roams the streets of New York, letting her rivals know that she will also be in the US Open title race.

Physical problems in Montreal and Cincinnati

In Montreal, after the hard-fought victory against Russia’s Daria Kasatkina, Rybakina explained: “No, I don’t think I’ve ever played a match like this.

I’ve played three set matches before, tough battles, but like this one… Honestly, physically it was very tough. It’s late, I’ve never played so late. I hope I can recover. I’m destroyed guys. Thanks for staying up late. It’s really great that you support us like this.”At the WTA 1000 in Cincinnati, Jasmine Paolini took advantage of Elena Rybakina’s withdrawal.

The Kazakh tennis player didn’t appear in the best condition from the first moment, but she still brought home a tough first set.Rybakina, after not capitalizing on the chances of a counter break in the second set, however decided to retire at the end of a brief conversation with the physiotherapist at 2-5.

In the first set of play, both gave way in the opening.Paolini sent the forehand into the net on the break point granted to Rybakina in the seventh game, losing her serve and the set. The Italian raised her head and conquered the first three games of the second set.

It wasn’t easy for Paolini to keep the lead: Rybakina got herself three chances.Opportunities that she, however, did not take advantage of before the fateful moment in which she definitively raised the white flag. For Paolini this is the first time in the quarterfinals of a 1000m event.
