‘Get out of my club’ – Jamie O’Hara slams Tottenham stars for swapping shirts after Newcastle humiliation

Jamie O’Hara was left fuming after Tottenham players were seen swapping shirts following their humbling at the hands of Newcastle.

Spurs were thrashed 6-1 by the Magpies on Sunday afternoon at St James’ Park, conceded five goals in just 21 minutes.

Jacob Murphy scored after 61 seconds before Joelinton netted, and Murphy struck again – all in the space of nine minutes.

Alexander Isak then found the net twice, before Callum Wilson scored on 67 minutes to cap off the emphatic victory after a Harry Kane consolation goal.

After full-time Spurs players were seen swapping shirts with Richarlison exchanging with former Everton teammate Anthony Gordon, while Ivan Perisic was spotted with Murphy.

O’Hara was left outraged after hearing about it from talkSPORT host Laura Woods, and could not resist a pop at Tottenham’s lacklustre stars.

“Why would you want to swap shirt in a game where you have been completely embarrassed?” he said.

“That for me just sums up modern day football players at the moment.

“Do you think Roy Keane or Steven Gerrard would want to swap shirts after a massive game when you just got pumped, are you joking?

“Can you imagine Ally McCoist asking for a shirt after a massive Old Firm match, ‘I want to swap shirts in the tunnel.’”

“These footballers, I don’t know what they have turned into, but they ain’t proper footballers.

“If you’re asking for a shirt after you have just been beaten 6-1, get out of my football club!

“You should be taking all your shirts and boots from the kit man, and your boots, and your wages, and standing outside the training ground giving them to the fans, who have drove up to Newcastle to watch that rubbish.”

Since returning to north London after being thrashed, interim manager Cristian Stellini has been sacked and replaced by Ryan Mason until the end of the season.

Plus, Spurs players have offered to reimburse fans who made the trip up to Newcastle for the price of their tickets.
