What are your Thanksgiving plans, if you celebrate? My dad’s visiting, and we’re in charge of making the turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes, while our friends are bringing the rest. Also, I want to say, I’m beyond grateful for this warm, funny, smart community of people, and I love you so much. Thank you for being here. Hope you have a good week, and here are a few fun links from around the web…

Excited to watch this fantastic movie.

What you learn from eating alone. “‘No food is sadder than personal pizza’ is something I once read and promptly disagreed with… You see, Sad Food is not the same as Solitude Food. Solitude Food celebrates the luxury of being intentionally alone.” (The Atlantic)

Oh my gosh, this Frasier calendar made me laugh for like three days.

Your mom is destined to annoy you. “I have a 48-hour serenity limit when I’m with my parents. After two days, it’s like an alarm sounds inside me and sends me right back to 1999. I’m a petulant teenager again with a bad attitude.” (NYTimes gift link)

My sister made pickled onions last night to eat with Manchego cheese and bread, and they added a delicious bright crunch.

My favorite coat ever.

What a gorgeous autumn garden.

Weekly movie dates to keep winter blues at bay. May I also suggest soup groups and daily walks. (NYMag)

Me as a teenager/young adult haha.

15 readers on how they’re cutting costs. “Swapping clothes with friends is arguably more enjoyable than walking around an offensively bright mall. The practice is affordable, sustainable, and conducive to style development. I never wore giant Hawaiian shirts or lace tank tops before my friends put theirs up for grabs.” (The Atlantic)

“Why open adoption was the right choice for our family.”

How warm and welcoming is this apartment makeover?

Finally, here are 5 amazing sales:

* Get 50% off with code SHOPEARLY at J.Crew. (What a pretty top for parties!)

* Get 40% off with code OHJOY at Madewell. This sweater is on my wishlist.

* Get 50% off with code YAY at Loft. Just ordered this everyday shirt.

* Nordstrom is having a huge site wide promo. This genius hair tool is on sale.

* Get 30% off with code JOY at Dermstore. I use this daily in the shower.

And here’s our 2022 gift guide so far, if you’re looking for ideas. Have a great weekend. xoxo
