He has now signed for Saudi Arabian outfit Al Nassr, ending a lengthy spell in European top flight football.

His former manager Ten Hag has now commented on the departure, but he appears to be determined to keep his eye on the future at United.

When asked about Ronaldo’s switch after United’s win against Wolves, he said: “I don’t talk about the past.

“Let’s talk about the future.”

Ronaldo is set to earn around £177million-a-year at his new club Al Nassr, making him the highest paid athlete in the world.

He re-signed for United last summer, but has already moved to pastures new following his bombshell with Piers Morgan.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner criticised Ten Hag when speaking to the TalkTV host, and left soon after it was aired.

Despite the absence of one of football’s most successful players, United have been in winning form as of late.

The Red Devils secured a crucial 1-0 win away at Wolves on New Year’s Eve, with the inform Marcus Rashford netting the winner.

He started on the bench in their away victory due to oversleeping, but the substitute was on hand to score the only goal of the game.
