‘I think Nick Kyrgios is a silly little brat’, says expert

Nick Kyrgios has signed up to compete in the Adelaide International 2 the week before the Australian Open. Kyrgios, 27, will kick off his 2023 season by representing Australia in the inaugural United Cup. After the United Cup, Kyrgios will travel to Adelaide to participate in the event that will take place between January 9 and 14.

Kyrgios is not the only big name to compete in Adelaide 2 as world number 8 Andrey Rublev has also been confirmed for the event. Adelaide 2 will feature better known names such as Pablo Carreño Busta, Roberto Bautista Agut and Karen Khachanov.

Kyrgios, Wimbledon runner-up and US Open quarterfinalist, enters the 2023 season determined to win his first singles Grand Slam. With Kyrgios playing two tournaments before the Australian Open, he won’t be short of matches or pace when he arrives at Melbourne Park.

Last week, Kyrgios admitted to feeling pressured ahead of the Australian Open as he knows the Australian community expects him to do well at Melbourne Park. “I always think that pressure is a privilege. In real life, being a professional tennis player doesn’t have a lot of pressure.

We make a lot of money, we travel all over the world with our favorite people. We see different people and cultures. In the scheme of things, that’s not pressure, but I fully understand that going out on court with all this expectation that ‘Nick Kyrgios is the legitimate chance to win a Grand Slam now’, there’s a lot of pressure there, especially having the Open.

from Australia and everyone in Australia expecting great things from me. Sometimes it’s hard to handle. Being in the spotlight is not easy,” Kyrgios told Eurosport. The one born in Canberra will shine, who has already raised the champion’s cup of this Major in the doubles modality.

Jordan talks about Nick Kyrgios

English businessman and Talksport host Simon Jordan slammed Nick Kyrgios and called him a silly brat. “Nick Kyrgios is a remarkable mercurial talent, but doesn’t actually win very much.

He’s been to a Grand Slam quarter-final and a final, he’s 27, he hasn’t won a Slam, and there have been great Australian players in the past, Pat Cash, Pat Rafter, Lleyton Hewitt, who actually won things.

So while he has got this remarkable talent, I think they [Australia Tennis and media] disrespect him because he respects himself with the waste of his talent at times,” Jordan said. “And then you add in the puerility of some of his behavior.

John McEnroe was awful with some of his on-court behaviour but he won, so people began to give him this begrudging respect because his achievements superseded his outbursts. But this guy [Kyrgios] doesn’t win,” the 55-year-old said.
