Jake Paul clashed with KSI after pro debut win over AnEsonGib, which saw him knock opponent down three times for first-round stoppage

Jake Paul floored AnEsonGib three times and stopped him in the first round when he made his professional boxing debut.

At the start of 2020, Paul and Gib agreed to meet on the undercard of one of Eddie Hearn’s shows in Miami, though it turned out to be a total mismatch.

Few predicted just how one-sided it would turn out to be, with Gib having previously won his two white collar contests.

Paul had only had one white collar bout before, and won it by stopping KSI’s younger brother Deji.

As a result, no-one truly knew how the fight was going to go.

However, Gib was simply blown away by former Disney actor Paul in three painful minutes.

The fight began with Gib on the front foot, applying a now infamous crouching technique to try and avoid his opponent’s punches.

This did not work, though, and he soon found himself knocked backwards and losing balance.

The fight was highly anticipated, but did not live up to expectations

This was merely a warning of what was to come.

Paul put Gib down with a right hand just one minute into the contest.

Gib took the count and attempted to recompose himself, but never got back into the fight.

He rushed at Paul against the ropes and was knocked down again, this time with a counter left hook.

Again, he took the count, but already the end was nigh.

Paul landed two further straight right hands which left his opponent staggering around the ring and desperately trying to hold on.

There was no mercy from Paul, however, as he hammered Gib with another hard right hand which saw his legs dip again and his glove touch the canvas for a third knockdown.

This time the referee waved the fight off.

Jake immediately ran over to the edge of the ring to call out KSI in the aftermath of the result, with the Brit (who had recently defeated his brother Logan) looking dejected after seeing his friend beaten.

The pair then got into a heated face-off during the post-fight interview and have been feuding ever since.

Paul and KSI could meet at the end of this year, but the American must first get past Tommy Fury, live on talkSPORT on Sunday night.
