Twitter has slowly destabilized in recent months with various rules and policy changes. One of the most significant recent changes is accounts losing their blue checkmark if not subscribed to Twitter Blue.
Several prominent accounts lost their checkmarks over the last few days, with Oklahoma City Thunder rookie Jalen Williams being one of them. The active social media user was caught by surprise with his account became unverified once again.
Williams didn’t receive his checkmark until his rookie season with the Thunder, where he finished as a Rookie of the Year finalist after averaging 14.1 points on 52.1% shooting, 4.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 75 games.
Growing in popularity as he quickly played his way into being arguably the best rookie of his class, Williams was caught by surprise at the move.
