AT the ABN AMRO Open, ATP 500 tournament in Rotterdam, Jannik Sinner continued to set records. the Italian tennis player has won 28 of the last 30 matches played. Scary numbers to say the least.

With the victory against Botic Van de Zandschulp, Sinner achieved his 11th victory in a row, his personal career best record (at least till now!). Even in Holland, with the underdogs on his side, Jannik seems to handle the pressure without problems. A new record, yet another, which could evolve again over the weekend in the event of a tournament victory, when Sinner can make history.

The numbers of the Italian tennis player are constantly growing. Sinner is mentally and physically solid, grew up serving and exchanging and above all on hard courts he has the numbers of a world number one. A victory in Rotterdam would guarantee him overtaking Medvedev in the ATP rankings. Sinner would thus become the first Italian in the Open era to reach third position in the ATP ranking.

The monstrous growth of Jannik Sinner: this is only the beginning

Sinner’s growth is monstrous. Thanks to his exciting performances, the young Italian has earned himself an absolute leading role on the ATP Tour. Many were curious to understand the Italian’s condition after his historic victory at the Australian Open. Even champions like Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal have suffered unexpected defeats after winning a Slam. Instead Sinner started where he left off: with a victory.

Jannik left only crumbs to the Dutch Van de Zandschulp, who appeared almost disconsolate at the end of the match. A double 6-3 that was almost too slight for a difference that seemed sensational to everyone.

Sinner will now face Gael Monfils, a tennis player who is always difficult on these surfaces. Should he win, he could face Milos Raonic in the quarterfinals, a surprise winner yesterday over Kazakh Alexander Bublik.
