But before returning home to Orlando (Florida), where he has been based for many years, Rose decided to have some quality time in London with his friends.

The day after the Spanish Open, which he finished in a modest 57th place, 18 shots behind Matthieu Pavon, the winner of the 2013 US Open therefore headed to England to join his “band of friends”. He is the first Olympic golf champion in 112 years, winning the gold medal at the 2016 Rio Games. Born in South Africa, he moved to the United Kingdom at the age of five. In 1998, he made his name by finishing fourth in a grand slam tournament, during the British Open, while he was still an amateur.

Having turned professional at the end of the season, his debut on the European Circuit was difficult, with 21 consecutive missed cuts. However, he remained on the circuit and obtained his first victory in 2002. He obtained another victory on the European circuit, as well as two other victories on other circuits.

After having progressed during the 2003 season in the Official World Golf Ranking, it regressed during the following two seasons. In 2005, he decided to concentrate on the PGA Tour. In 2007, he finished in fifth place at the Masters. He ended the season with a second title on the European circuit during the Volvo Masters, a tournament which he won in a playoff and which ensured him first place in the European Order of Merit1.

He also entered the Top 10 of the Official World Golf Ranking. For the 39th Ryder Cup 2012 which took place on the course of the Medinah Country Club in Chicago, in the ‘Foursomes’ on Friday morning, Justin is associated with Ian Poulter to face the pair Tiger Woods / Steve Stricker, where the duo wins 2&1 over the Americans.

Once again associated with Ian Poulter for the ‘Foursomes’ on Saturday morning, the two friends beat the experienced duo Bubba Watson / Webb Simpson 1up.

In the ‘Fourball’ on Saturday afternoon, accompanied by Francesco Molinari, he found the same American pair and the Europeans lost 5&4. In the Sunday singles, captain José Maria Olazábal schedules Justin in the fourth match against Phil Mickelson, with a great 1up victory, he will restore equality of points (10-10), and give great hope to the European team .
