Juventus fans stormed their own pitch to protest against the potential signing of Romelu Lukaku.
The Chelsea star has been heavily linked with a move to Juventus this summer after snubbing another Inter Milan transfer.
A swap deal had been mooted that would include Lukaku and Juve ace Dusan Vlahovic, as well as some cash.
But Bianconeri fans have made their feelings heard and voted with their feet, storming onto the Allianz Stadium pitch to protest against the prospect of the Belgian’s arrival.
During their pre-season friendly against AC Milan, chants of “noi Lukaku non lo vogliamo” could be heard ringing around the ground.
Translated, that means: “We don’t want Lukaku.”
Juventus had been playing their B team in the stadium before the protests began while banners were also unfurled protesting against any Lukaku transfer.
The Belgium international was on loan at Inter Milan from Chelsea last term after falling out with Blues fans.
But it appears he has muddied the waters at the San Siro, as well, having also met with Juventus chiefs, despite many interviews where he was pining for a return to Inter.
In a dramatic switch, Inter pulled out of transfer talks with Chelsea over Lukaku after learning of his Juve preference.
Nerazzurri chief Javier Zanetti gave an incensed interview over the situation, savagely hitting out at the 30-year-old.
He said: “Given what Inter has done for him, we expected him to behave differently, as a professional and as a man.
“He has the right to go where he wants, of course, but he could have told us that beforehand.
“Nobody is bigger than the club and when building a team, you always have to consider who you are bringing into the dressing room.”
With neither Inter, Chelsea or now Juventus fans wanting Lukaku at their clubs, it remains to be seen where the striker will end up.
Saudi Arabia remains an option for the ex-Manchester United star, who had an injury-ravaged campaign last season.
In 25 Serie A appearances, he scored ten times while he netted eight in the Premier League for Chelsea the season before.
His last spell at Inter saw him and Antonio Conte lift the Scudetto together in a campaign which saw Lukaku bag 30 goals in all competitions.
That was what sparked Chelsea into paying a then club-record £97million for him but any sort of fee that they manage to make this summer is likely to be a fraction of that.
