Monmouth University sweeps Rider 7-0!

The Monmouth University men’s tennis team defeated Rider 7-0, Sunday night, at the Little Silver Tennis Club. Monmouth will now face in-state rival NJIT, February 29 in Newark, NJ. Monmouth won all three doubles matches to take the doubles point before winning six singles matches to wrap up the 7-0 win.

The Hawks return to action on February 29 when they travel to Newark, NJ for a test against NJIT.

What had happened in the previous match

The Falcons lost their first match of the 2023-24 season, falling 4-3 to Delaware, Saturday afternoon at the Little Silver Tennis Club.

The Hawks fell to 6-1 head-to-head this season. Monmouth has had back-to-back wins at No. 2 (Adam Hillerby) and at no. 4 (Alex Martinez Sanz), also securing the doubles point.
