The doctor in social sciences Semir Osmanagic believes that Novak Djokovic is the maximum model for the young generations and humanity of how to act and behave. Twelve months ago, Djokovic experienced the most difficult and challenging time of his life when he was detained and ultimately deported from Australia.
On Sunday, Djokovic defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in the Australian Open final to win his record 10th title at Melbourne Park. After the Australian visa debacle, Djokovic continued to tell positive things about Australia. Afterwards, Djokovic returned to Australia and won the title again.
Osmanagic is the founder of the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun, a place Djokovic frequently visits. “Novak Djokovic has completed an important life cycle by winning the Australian Open Grand Slam tennis tournament. It was his record tenth triumph in Melbourne and his twenty-second Grand Slam, confirming the title of best tennis player in history.
But this is also his triumph in his life. In January 2022 he was unable to play in Australia despite his visa having been pre-approved. It was followed by discriminatory tournament bans in the United States and the denial of his title points wins at Wimbledon.
Instead of all of 2022, he remains at the top of the tennis rankings, politically that right has been taken away from him. Although the triumph in Australia put things in his place, Novak is number one again and his stay on the throne for the number of weeks will not be reached for a long time.
And though psychologically shaken by his treatment in Australia, looking at it from a timeless perspective, Novak earned worldwide fame and respect as a man of principle. He made his decision without imposing his opinion on others.”
Djokovic is the “second-best” clay-court player in the world
Novak Djokovic equalled Rafael Nadal’s record tally of 22 Grand Slams.
“I think Novak would have a very good shot. Obviously going in, Rafa has to be favorite on that court. But, Novak knows what he can do,” he said. “Maybe, they can end up on opposite halves with some good fortune because wouldn’t it be outstanding to see them clash in the final again in the Roland Garros with both playing well,” Flink said.
“I mean they’ve had some wonderful matches at the Roland Garros over the years. My hope is we get to see them in the finals this year,” he added. “He is the second-best clay-court player in the world. I believe that firmly and it is not inconceivable,” Flink said.
