Novak Djokovic marched into the last 16 at Wimbledon following a 6-0, 6-3, 6-4 triumph over fellow Serb Miomir Kecmanovic in an hour and 52 minutes. Djokovic delivered his 82nd Wimbledon victory from 92 matches and set the fourth-round clash with Tim van Rijthoven.
The defending champion hit 36 winners and 19 unforced errors and claimed 32 points more than the younger compatriot. Djokovic served at only 49%, which was hardly noticeable on the court. Miomir converted one break chance in the encounter’s closing stages, not enough to prolong the clash.
Novak took half of the return points and turned them into six breaks from 14 opportunities to control the scoreboard and sail into the next round.

Novak claimed five consecutive points to get out of jail and open a 3-0 gap. The defending champion forced the rival’s mistake in the fourth game for another break and fired a service winner in the next one for 5-0. Djokovic delivered his third break of serve in the sixth game for a bagel in 25 minutes.
Novak served well in the second set and kept the pressure on the other side. Miomir followed that pace after fending off break points in games two and six to lock the result at 3-3, doing much better than in the opener. Djokovic grabbed a break at 4-3 after Kecmanovic’s basic forehand error.
World no. 1 served for the set in game nine and held at 15 to build two sets to love advantage and move closer to the finish line. Novak broke in the third set’s third game with a backhand volley lob winner that pushed him closer to the finish line.
Djokovic confirmed the lead with a service winner in the fourth game and fired another two games later for a hold at love and 4-2. Miomir placed a forehand long in the seventh game to experience another break and fall 5-2 behind.
Novak served for the victory in game eight and experienced a break that propelled the clash. Kecmanovic reduced the deficit to 5-4 before Djokovic landed a service winner in game ten to emerge at the top and enter the second week.
