Porto star Galeno left red-faced after his shorts are pulled down by Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries in Champions League battle

Porto took the saying of ‘having their pants pulled down’ somewhat to a new level during their Champions League clash with Inter Milan.

The Portuguese side were hosting the Italian giants in the last 16 of the Champions League in the hope of overturning a one-goal deficit from their first leg clash at the San Siro.

Sergio Conceicao’s side dominated proceedings as they looked to get back into the tie on home turf, leading to some rather extreme defensive tactics from Inter.

Brazilian winger Galeno was a constant thorn in the paw of Inter Milan and that led to Denzel Dumfries simply having enough of his attacking play in the second half.

With Galeno pushing forward, the only way that the Inter’s Dutch defender could think to stop him was by pulling his shorts down from around his waste, exposing his Y-fronts for all to see.

While Dumfries responded to the incident like nothing had happened, Galeno wasn’t quite so impressed as he appealed for the Inter full-back to be booked.

Inter certainly had to weather a storm against the Portuguese giants, something that they managed to do by any means neccessary.

But while some might question the physical approach taken to nullifying the threat of Porto, there’s no doubting that it was effective.

On a cagey night, Inter did enough to secure a goalless draw, and thus 1-0 aggregate win over their opponents to secure their passage into the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The Serie A side join Manchester City, AC Milan, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Benfica in the quarter-finals with the last of the last-16 ties to be resolved on Wednesday.
