He made the Giro d’Italia, the Ryder Cup trophy. Involving the whole country, from North to South. And now he’s back in Rome where, from 29 September to 1 October (on the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club course), the 44th edition of the challenge between the Europe team and the USA team will take place, the final “sprint” of a journey that began in 2015 which, from a dream, has turned into reality.

The Ryder Cup trophy will be hosted by the Giro d’Italia in Rome – Saturday 27 (from 18:00 to 22:00) and Sunday 28 May (from 10:00 to 19:30) the coveted trophy, increasingly a popular icon, will be on display in Piazza del Popolo, inside the “Giroland” Village, dedicated to adults and children where they can discover the history and symbols of the Corsa Rosa, with entertainment and engagement activities inspired by the most iconic games of the Funfair.
Where the “Senza Fine” trophy of the Giro d’Italia and the most representative one of golf in the world will meet and “embrace”. Both toured Italy far and wide, establishing themselves as symbols of two competitions of great importance.
And both boast an important history and tradition. Playing an important role also for the development of tourism and a driving force for Rome’s candidacy to host Expo 2030. A significant “step”, therefore. In Piazza del Popolo there will therefore be the possibility for everyone to discover the history and importance of the two events, the Giro d’Italia and the Ryder Cup.
And again: to take a picture with the two trophies and have fun with RDS music. Not only; in the space dedicated to Federgolf, you can try your hand at a “putting green” to discover the magic of an inclusive and increasingly accessible sport up close.
Personalities from the world of sport and institutions will participate in the event. The protagonist will be the Eternal City which, for the fifth time in its history after those of 1911, 1950, 2009 and 2018, will be the place of arrival (at the corner between the Fori Imperiali and the Altare della Patria, departing from Eur) of the Corsa Rosa.
