Tennis legend Serena Williams will release a book of intimate memoirs as part of a two-book deal, as reported by the X account The Tennis Letter.

Serena is one of the most beloved and successful tennis players of all time, one of the most iconic sportspeople in history and, both during her career on the court and after her retirement, she dedicated herself to many cultural, business and philanthropic.

Now, the American former tennis icon, who recently became the mother of a second daughter, will throw herself into a new editorial adventure.

The Tennis Leter written on X, via Random House Serena will release an intimate memoir as part of a 2-book deal: “For so long, all I was focused on was winning, & I never sat down to look back & reflect on my life & career.. Over the last year I’ve really enjoyed taking the time with my growing family to celebrate my accomplishments and explore my other passions.”

The post on X also said: “The 2nd book will offer Serena ’s rules for living & will draw on her experiences of her as an advocate, philanthropist, & businesswoman. Memoirs & advice from the GOAT. These will definitely be worth reading.”

Serena Williams and her publishing career

Serena Williams has written a few books over the course of her career. The first book is titled Queen of the Court and was published in 2009. This book is an autobiographical story that chronicles Serena’s growth as a tennis player and the challenges she faced along the way. She talks about her early years in tennis, her childhood in Compton and her determination that led to her success.

In 2010, Serena teamed up with her sister Venus Williams to write Come to Win: Business Leaders, Artists, Doctors, and Other Visionaries on How Sports Can Help You Top Your Profession. In this book, Serena and Venus interview several prominent figures in various industries, such as entrepreneurs, artists and doctors, to explore how sports can influence and enhance their careers.

In 2017, Serena published On the Line, a children’s book co-written with Daniel Paisner. This book is designed to inspire young readers and talks about the hard work, discipline and self-belief needed to achieve success.

Serena Williams has proven herself to be a versatile and successful athlete not only on the tennis court, but also as an author. Her books address topics such as autobiography, motivation, challenges in the professional world, and inspiration for young readers. Her publishing career shows her passion for writing and desire to share her experience and perspectives with the public.
