Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has sounded out Julian Nagelsmann’s camp about a possible summer move, talkSPORT understands.
The German was sacked by Bayern Munich last week, and Spurs see him as a potential candidate to replace the Italian.
talkSPORT also understands Spurs are waiting for an indication from Nagelsmann that he would be open to replacing Conte before making any formal approach.
However, Nagelsmann isn’t the only manager Tottenham are considering, with Levy, an admirer of Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi.
The Italian has enjoyed a fine start to life on the south coast and has the Seagulls in the FA Cup semi-final and in contention for the Champions League places.
Meanwhile, ex-Tottenham gaffer Mauricio Pochettino remains keen on returning to north London, but the Spurs hierarchy are split over bringing the Argentine back.
Conte’s former assistant, Cristian Stellini, will take charge of Spurs until the end of the season, with Ryan Mason serving as his assistant.
