Taiwanese Tsai Ching Tseng performed an authentic feat. The 23-year-old neopro from Tainan City, in her second round on the Epson Tour and without a ‘card’, won the 12th Island Resort Championship on the Sweetgrass Golf Club course in Harris, Michigan with 201 (66 70 65, -15) strokes.

With a final round bogey free in 65 (-7, seven birdies) she recovered from third place overtaking and relegating them to second with 202 (-14) Auston Kim, leader after two rounds, and the Malaysian Natasha Andrea Oon, who followed her at one shot.

In this way the winner, in addition to being fully entered into the circuit, also received a check for 33,750 dollars out of a prize pool of 225,000 dollars.

She lost ground in the final lap, from 11th to 24th with 211 (70 70 71, -5), Roberta Liti, who still collected other precious dollars for the Race for the Card (order of merit), which she will promote at the end of the season the top ten on the LPGA Tour 2024 and where Tuscany is currently seventh.

The other Italian in the race, Angelica Moresco, rose from 42nd to 33rd place with 212 (70 73 69, -4). Liti shot 71 (-1) with four birdies and three bogeys and Moresco made a run of 69 (-3) with four birdies and a bogey. Behind the three protagonists, Becca Huffer occupied fourth place with 205 (-11), then Australian Hira Naveed in fifth place with 206 (-10), Savannah Vilaubi in sixth with 207 (-9) and seventh with 208 (-8) Carley Cox, Brigitte Dunne, Canadian Alena Sharp and Spanish Teresa Toscano.

The rules of golf are relatively complicated compared to other sports because they apply outdoors, close to nature and animals. Respect for the rules is a basic element in the game of golf which, almost always based on self-control and the free conscience of the players, often sees distorted results, sometimes consciously, but often unconsciously or lightly, due to non-compliance by many players of the game rules.

In addition to the rules, golf adheres to a code of conduct, known as etiquette, which generally means playing your game with due respect to the golf course and other players. Etiquette is an essential component of this sport.
