The University of Tennessee women’s tennis team defeated Kentucky 4-0 on Friday in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament at the Billingsley Tennis Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Tennessee advances to the semifinals, where they will take on Georgia today, Saturday.
Tennessee coach Alison Ojeda explained, “Kentucky has done a great job competing over the last couple of days, so we made sure to prepare our team for the best version of Kentucky possible. That meant we had to be ready from the first point in double and make sure our intensity lasted all the way to the final point.
That’s exactly what our team did.”
