Vanderbilt University will face Belmont and Butler, tomorrow

Vanderbilt University men’s tennis team will face Belmont and then Butler tomorrow, Sunday 4 February 2024. This past weekend at the ITA Kickoff, the Dores split their two games against No. 1 Ohio State and Oregon. In the first game, Vanderbilt was behind after losing the doubles point and after a valiant effort, they came up short against the Buckeyes.

The next day Vanderbilt bounced back, once again losing the doubles point but battling through in singles to a 4-2 overall victory over the Ducks.

Belmont (0-0) opens the season Saturday, Feb.

3, after a trio of weekend games canceled due to winter weather. Last season saw the Dores outscore the Bruins 6-1 during spring play in February.

Vanderbilt ready for the upcoming challenges

Butler (2-4) is coming off a loss, having competed last weekend in Cleveland, Ohio, and falling to Cleveland State 6-1.

Vanderbilt will be looking for its second straight win over the Bulldogs, after picking up a 4-3 win over Butler for the 2022-23 season.

Matches will be played at the Brownlee O.

Currey Jr. Tennis Pavilion at the Lummis Family Tennis Center and admission is free. Free parking is available in the 25th Avenue garage via the Highland Avenue entrance. For matches starting before 5pm on weekdays, spectators may park in any non-reserved space on floors 9 to 11 and up to one hour before the start of the match.

For evening and weekend games, spectators may park in any non-reserved space using the Highland Avenue entrance. Vanderbilt tennis matches will have a clear bag policy.
