Kylian Mbappe scored a hat-trick in the World Cup final becoming the first man to do so since Geoff Hurst in the 1966 final.
But crucial misses from his teammates Kingsley Coman and Aurelien Tchouameni in the shootout opened the door for Montiel to end Argentina’s 36-year wait to win their third World Cup.
