Biden Vows to Veto Republican Title IX Bill Protecting Women’s and Girl’s Sports

The White House Office of Management and Budget issued a statement Monday indicating President Biden would veto legislation that would ban biological males from competing in female sporting events.

The ‘Statement of Administration Policy’ references a House Republican bill called the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act of 2023.

The legislation – H.R. 734 – makes it a Title IX violation to “allow individuals of the male sex to participate in programs or activities that are designated for women or girls.”

‘Sex’ in the bill is defined as “an individual’s reproductive biology and genetics at birth.”

You know … science.

“If the President were presented with H.R. 734, he would veto it,” the White House statement reads.

They go on to allege that the bill protecting women’s and girls’ sports “targets people for who they are and therefore is discriminatory.”

Biden Promises Not to Protect Women’s Sports

It should be noted that the bill, introduced in February by Representative Greg Steube (R-FL), has 93 co-sponsors, all of whom are Republicans.

Meaning only GOP lawmakers are willing to stand up and protect women’s sports. Republicans were once the ‘War on Women’ party. The party of ‘binders full of women.’

Now the Democrats are clearly the party of chest binders.

It should also be noted that there was no real reason to issue this statement other than to virtue signal to a minuscule minority that President Biden will fight alongside the trans community in their war against women.

Why? Because this bill has no chance of passing the Democrat-controlled Senate, making a veto by Biden wholly unnecessary.

Riley Gaines, Trump Vow to Protect Women’s Sports

Last week, 39 female athletes and Megan Rapinoe co-signed a letter to House lawmakers in opposition to the Protection of Girls and Women in Sports Act.

The group lamented that “gender equity in sport is critical” and that H.R. 734 would isolate “transgender and intersex kids.”

Riley Gaines, a former NCAA star swimmer at Kentucky, blasted the group’s efforts, calling it “virtue signaling” and went after Rapinoe personally.

“It’s worth noting that 1) you are done playing sports competitively and 2) because you aren’t sexually attracted to men, you will never have a daughter to defend,” Gaines fumed.

“To me, this simply looks like virtue signaling because you have nothing to personally lose.”

“I can respect opinions that differ from my own and everyone is entitled to think/speak independently, but I can’t help but think Megan Rapinoe would genuinely shiv any male who tried to take her spot on the US Women’s National Team,” Gaines added.

Rapinoe, meanwhile, was part of the 2017 United States Women’s National Team that got beat by an under-15 boys squad in a scrimmage game in Dallas.

By contrast, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has vowed to ban biological males from competing in women’s sports should he run for and win the election in 2024.

“We will ban men from participating in women’s sports,” Trump told a Texas crowd last February. “So ridiculous.”

At CPAC the previous year, Trump said, “Young girls and women are incensed that they are now being forced to compete against those who are biological males.”

“It’s not good for women,” he added. “It’s not good for women’s sports, which worked for so long and so hard to get to where they are.”

H.R. 734 is set to be heard Monday by the House Committee on Rules.
